We are currently looking for a Mechanical Project Manager for a main contractor based in London. The majority of works are high end residential and student accommodation projects. The Mechanical Project Manager Responsibility commences from Pre-Construction and Revalidation through to Handover. The projects can range in value from £5m - £60m M&E
* Combining Mechanical & Electrical Team members so the team work as one together
* Hold weekly project team meetings to discuss Progress, Current Issues, Risks and forecasted requirements.
* Issuing Weekly Progress Reports to Directors & Monthly Health Reviews
* Ensuring costs are forecast correctly & in the event of an overspend fully justify reasons for cause and what recovery measures have been put in place.
* Create and maintain an up-to-date Project Risk Registers(s)
* Managing Sub Contractors
* Cost Control & Forecasting
* The Mechanical Project Manager is to ensure that the companies’ procedures are being met including-
* Material Stock Control – Using the companies “PreOrdering Procedure and “Just in Time Delivery Policy” secure off site (this method of control should be used rather than holding valuable stock on site that cannot be fitted that week) and on site to securely meet “weekly” material requirements.
