Location: Wakefield
Remuneration: £36,000 – £40,000 neg + Up to 10% revenue based bonus

The role of the Depot Manager – Construction Plant & Tool Hire will involve:
1. Depot Manager position selling a distributed range of construction plant & tool hire, predominantly small plant such as mixers, saws, trench rammers, etc. (huge portfolio), also selling excavators, dumpers, dozers, and telehandlers.
2. Selling to plant hire companies who supply to building contractors, main contractors, housebuilder developers, as well as smaller independent plant companies, groundcare contractors, civil engineering contractors, and end users.
3. Working with 3 current direct reports, with potential for growth.
4. Managing all aspects of the branch including customer service, administration, sales, and health & safety.
5. Managing stock levels and working towards budget expectations for each year.
6. Maintaining existing customer relationships and cultivating new ones to increase sales.
7. Travel may be required to meet smaller customers occasionally.
The ideal applicant will be a Depot Manager – Construction Plant & Tool Hire with:
1. Experience within a branch, depot, or facilities manager position within the hire sector or the wider construction industry.
2. People management experience with a small team.
3. Consideration for an assistant/deputy branch manager looking to step up.
4. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
5. Determined and enthusiastic with a structured background (no job hoppers).
6. Strong IT skills.
