About your role:
We are looking for a creative email designer and HTML developer with a proven experience of email campaign management to manage and co-ordinate multiple campaigns. You’ll have a strong understanding of how to effectively engage and convert email subscribers through template design and will be comfortable owning and optimising email design and build process.
This role will be a 6-month contract (FTC or day rate contractor).
Location: This role will be predominantly remote/home-based working with occasional travel to our Windsor/London offices for team meetings.
Responsibilities of the role:
1. Design and create assets (including illustrations) required for email marketing campaigns.
2. Develop our design system within Figma with key email components.
3. Utilise HTML/CSS to develop or modify responsive email templates and existing campaigns.
4. Execute email campaigns with a heavy emphasis on customer segmentation, testing protocol, and technical execution.
5. Perform QA and ensure identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devices (using manual methods and Limtus). Troubleshoot HTML & CSS when issues arise.
6. Create emails from scratch as well as work with templated emails that require updating.
7. Manage email campaigns end-to-end, from managing stakeholder's expectations, though briefing the production team to managing deployment
8. Making sure that quality assurance testing is happening to validate functional and rendering performance
9. Demonstrate subject matter expertise on email channel best practice, process and principles, and channel capabilities
10. Identify opportunities to build an automated email system/trigger/lifecycle driven email
Here's what we’re looking for:
11. Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS to understand the possibilities and limitations of email HTML, responsive design, Email UI/UX, accessibility standards for email.
12. Experience working with an ESP, HTML, CSS, Figma, illustrator and Photoshop.
13. Proven in-depth knowledge of email campaign management.
14. Comfortable owning and optimising email design and build process.
15. Able to create GIFs and illustrations.
16. Some experience in print design will be favourable.
