We are recruiting for a Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on a Monday to Friday, 3 shift pattern. The ideal candidate is ambitious, motivated, and keen to develop. With a large Engineering team to help mentor you into the position, we welcome applications from both highly experienced engineers and newly qualified apprentices.
Working on a 6-2, 2-10, 10-6 shift pattern, you'll be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all mechanical systems on site. This is a large factory with plenty to keep you occupied. You'll be predominantly focused on reactive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical failures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical qualifications are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attending breakdowns and working effectively to minimize downtime.
2. Performing maintenance tasks on mechanical systems and equipment.
3. Identifying the root cause of mechanical failures and implementing corrective actions.
4. Monitoring equipment performance and conducting regular inspections.
5. Documenting all completed work using the internal systems to create a detailed log of activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a maintenance role within a factory or industrial setting and strong knowledge of mechanical systems including pumps, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
