Salary: £75,000 + 33 Days Annual Leave + PMI + Pension + Free Eye Surgery

I am currently looking for a motivated & career-driven Optometrist to join a highly skilled team in a well-respected Specialist Eye Clinic based in Leeds. They have been delivering the best patient care and transforming the quality of people’s vision for over 15 years. You’ll be working alongside some of the best Ophthalmologists in the industry with plenty of options to develop yourself & grow your skills.
You will be a motivated & enthusiastic person, passionate with a can-do attitude. You will be keen to progress your career & develop yourself, have an interest in learning YAG, and possess a self-motivated, proactive attitude with great patient interaction and care.

Requirements
* GOC Registered
* Must Have UK Based Experience
* IP Qualified (Must Have)
* Previous Refraction experience (Must Have)
* Experience of Using Patient Administration Systems & Electronic Medical Record Systems
Responsibilities
* Carry out examinations associated with cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries.
* Run acute and follow-up clinics post-surgery for all patients.
* Provide health advice and support to patients attending the hospital.
* Provide first-line clinical advice to patients and refer to a medical practitioner if necessary.
* Ensure awareness of uses, safety precautions, and handling of equipment within the clinical competency framework.
* Ensure awareness of CQC policies and updates, attending all mandatory update courses.
* Help to control cross-infection by enforcing Hospital policy regarding Uniform Policy, maintenance of a clean working environment, decontamination, and sterilization procedures.
* Follow correct procedures for documenting and reporting any accidents or incidents.
* Proactively identify ways to improve processes and services to ensure a streamlined, efficient, and high-quality service is offered to patients.
* Build relationships with patients during consultations to ensure their individual needs are understood and matched to the most suitable treatment solution.
* Proactively provide explanations to patients around treatment and ensure all patient questions are answered fully.
* Responsible for achieving set conversion rates from consultation to booking of treatment.
* Ensure compliance with relevant pre-authorization processes and collection of surgery deposits.
* Travel to hospital sites as required for training or meetings.
