Job Title: Certification Manager - Gas Products
Location: Home/Hybrid based according to location - UK /Spain /Italy /Germany /France/ Poland/ China /Netherlands
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Travel: Global travel where required to support business development growth and client certification requirements.

We have a superb opportunity for Certification Manager to join our Gas Products team. The role would ideally suit somebody with experience in testing & standards for gas equipment and appliances such as BS EN 331, BS EN 161, BS EN 203 or ISO 15502, ISO 17065 and/or ISO 17025.
The successful applicant will work closely with our testing team and our clients, responsible for the effective management and development of a portfolio of Certification Schemes within the Gas stream, delivering high-quality, "right first time" product evaluation, achieving client satisfaction and achieving their commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Our Certification Managers plan, prioritise and supervise their own work to ensure:
1. All certification applications are processed timely and effectively.
2. Technical reports are reviewed & certification recommendations are made.
3. Project plans are maintained & business finances are reflected accurately.
4. Accurate Revenue forecasts are provided.
5. BSI's interests with external bodies are represented (e.g. standards committees and notified body working groups) as required.
6. New and/or amended product standards/directives are identified and BSI's certification schemes are maintained and relevant.
7. They collaborate both internally and externally to assess client enquiries and develop appropriate programmes, enabling quotations for new certification projects.
8. They may act as account manager for several key clients.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
The following are essential for this role:
1. Detailed knowledge on a range of International, European or British Standards and/or other relevant documents and procedures (as relevant to specific post).
2. Expert knowledge of relevant product-related legislation and European Directives.
3. Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical subject.
4. Knowledge of quality requirements such as ISO 17065, ISO 9001
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills - capable of communicating technical issues to a wide audience, including clients with limited technical knowledge and clients who do not use English as a first language.
6. Customer focussed and solution orientated.
7. Excellent organisation and planning skills.
8. Familiarity with office IT systems and their application to commercial and technical processes.
9. Experience in monitoring budgets and maintaining cost control.
10. Business level English language.
