Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. This full-time role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse range of clients. The successful candidate will handle various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, both on-site at client locations and in-house at our Woodford Green office, providing essential support to multiple companies. The role requires the ability to think on your feet, solve problems efficiently, and contribute to delivering tailored solutions for our clients. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records and oversee financial transactions Prepare and submit VAT returns, invoices, and other financial documents Reconcile accounts, manage payroll, and ensure all financial reporting is timely and accurate Process payroll and handle CIS returns with accuracy and compliance Prepare and submit tax returns, self-assessment tax returns, and year-end accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations Liaise with clients, providing advice, support, and financial problem-solving Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and finding practical solutions to complex issues Conduct financial audits as required Handle multi-company accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Travel to client sites to manage their accounting needs as required Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in bookkeeping and accounting roles, with essential experience in processing payroll, CIS returns, tax returns, and year-end accounts (minimum three years) AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualification (or equivalent) Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll, CIS, tax returns, and year-end procedures Excellent communication and organisational skills Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Ability to work independently and with initiative in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work both at client sites and from our office in Woodford Green Applicant must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for this role Perks and Benefits: Competitive salary between £28,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience Pension scheme Opportunity for professional development and growth Friendly, supportive, and solution-oriented working environment
