Are you:
* Technically Qualified? You’ll need a Level 3 NVQ or recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
* Experienced in Leadership? You’ll have a proven track record in engineering and people management, ideally within railway vehicle engineering or depot production.
* Organised and Detail-Focused? You’ll be overseeing complex operations, so strong organisational skills are a must.
* Passionate About Safety? A commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards is essential.
* A Team Player? Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues will keep everything running smoothly.
What you’ll bring:
* Practical skills in plumbing, vehicle building, and mechanical/electrical principles, with the ability to interpret schematics (air, hydraulic, and electrical).
* A proactive approach to meeting targets and delivering high standards of service.
* Familiarity with safety, quality, and technical audits, or a willingness to learn.
* An understanding of COSHH safety-related instructions and maintenance procedures.
* A willingness to obtain certifications such as IOSH and D32 Competency Assessor, if not already held.

This role is safety-critical and subject to Rail Safety & Standards Board (RSSB) regulations. You MUST meet the following criteria for this position, or your application will be automatically rejected:
* Currently live within a 60-minute drive of Hull TrainCare Centre.
* Be willing to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
* Pass the safety-critical medical assessment, including drugs and alcohol screening.
* Meet vision and hearing requirements, including non-defective colour vision.
