This Assistant Management Accountant role is pivotal in supporting the financial operations of an ambitious and growing Group and provides opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be supporting accounting activities, maintaining controls over Balance Sheet and contributing to the improvement of control environment across the Group.
More about the role:
* Support month-end processes including review of admin costs, accruals and prepayments, and other central adjustments
* Capital expenditure reporting and overall responsibility for fixed asset register
* Support the reconciliation of intercompany accounts
* Assist the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and proactively resolving any issues
* Support the variance and trend analysis of central costs
* Support the production of the Monthly Consolidation and Board Pack.
* Support external audit and respond to audit queries, to ensure the timely and successful completion of both Group and subsidiaries audits
* Support in the preparation of the annual tax packs
* Working in an accurate and timely manner to meet deadlines
* Support in ad hoc financial projects as and when required
More about you:
* Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent), ideally with experience in a similar role
* Positive can-do attitude
* Microsoft Office applications experience, with excellent knowledge of Excel. VBA knowledge advantageous but not essential
* Knowledge of Focalpoint and/or Access Dimensions would be a distinct advantage
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both in writing and verbally
* Ability to use initiative is essential and a proactive approach to problem solving
* Clean UK driving licence
