Mobility Support Worker - Band 3
Band 3
Job overview
We have a new exciting opportunity within our Older People's Unit for a talented Mobility Support Worker to join our dedicated and caring team. The successful applicant will work closely with our patients and make a meaningful and positive contribution to their stay in hospital and their long term recovery.
Main duties of the job
Primary purpose of this post is to enable and support mobility and active routines for patients on the ward relative to each patient’s capability and normal routine. Prolonged bed rest in hospital poses significant risk for patients especially our older persons. It can lead to deconditioning and decline in their functional ability and puts them at risk of additional complications such as chest infections, pressure sores and blood clots.
