Finance Assistant – Scunthorpe – 12 Month Contract - up to £25,000 (pro rata) Chase & Holland are partnering with a leading engineering business who are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to support the business through substantial period of growth which is set to continue. Finance Assistant Responsibilities:
* Maintaining and managing purchase ledger accounts
* Timely and accurate processing of purchase ledger invoices
* Expense processing
* Ensure vendor accounts are accurately reconciled
* Manage any vendor queries
* Allocating payments
* Maintaining spend registers in supporting control of major expenditure such as transport and energy costs
* Assist with month end and year end closing processes
* Other ad hoc finance support including holiday cover
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience of working with purchase ledger and cash book transactions are required
* Experience in Sage will be an advantage
* Excellent organisational and people skills are keys to succeed in this role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
