About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic and welcoming secondary school in Hartlepool. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of Humanities subjects (such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies) to students of various year groups. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher who is enthusiastic about inspiring young minds and contributing to the success of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach engaging and effective lessons in History, Geography, and/or Religious Studies.
2. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported.
4. Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and guidance to help them reach their potential.
5. Contribute to the development of the Humanities department and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Strong subject knowledge in Humanities subjects.
3. Experience teaching Humanities at secondary school level is desirable, but NQTs are welcome to apply.
4. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
