Our client currently has a vacancy for two Assistant Service Managers working in Milton, Cambridge.
Reporting to the Service Manager and working closely with family members, the successful candidates will demonstrate the values of our client and be adaptable and friendly with a passion for supporting people with a learning disability.

The Role
One of the positions will work with five gentlemen of varying ages and support needs. The other position will work with twelve individuals, again of varying ages and support needs. The support is person-centred according to the individual’s specific support needs. This is delivered via 1:1 planned activities and shared support ensuring they meet their needs to enable them to live fulfilling lives.

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you are:
1. Experienced at supporting people who have learning and physical disabilities and have experience of Autism
2. Great at communicating
3. Proactive, dynamic and adaptable
4. Person-centred
5. Experienced at mentoring and supporting staff and leading a team positively
6. Able to recognise that families have an important part in the person’s life and have insightful and valuable contributions
7. Driven and passionate
8. Able to think outside the box
9. Able to undertake administration tasks in a timely and organised manner
10. Confident in following support agreements, plans and policies at all times
11. Able to work as a team but also confident at lone working
12. Able to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings
13. Are a driver with your own car
You will need to be passionate and motivated about getting the support right and be able to coach and mentor staff with confidence.
Both roles are full time (35 hours per week), will involve some weekend work and sleep-ins, and have a starting salary of £29,447 per annum.
Both roles are included on an out of hours on call rota covering all services across our client as Tier 1 support. This rota is shared across all managers and is typically an average of 1 week in every 3 months.
