Full-time (35 hours per week, Monday - Friday) and fixed term for up to 3 years from the start date. The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 573 years, and today we are one of the world's top 100 universities. We are delighted to have recently been awarded Scottish University of the Year by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024, demonstrating that we are not only one of the best universities in the United Kingdom, but one of the best universities for the world. Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers. To achieve the University’s long-term strategic goals, we are establishing a Service Excellence Programme to significantly improve our student and staff experience. This multi-disciplinary programme team will span across Transformation, People & OD, Finance, Planning, Insights & Analytics, and Programme Delivery to activate a programme of change with substantial impact across the University of Glasgow. The Service Excellence Programme is focused on delivering ambitious outcomes that drive real benefits for our students and staff by improving both our internal and external facing services. We will create simpler and more effective ways of working that simplify our organisation and put our users at the centre of service delivery. We are looking for individual experts in their field, looking for a challenge to work with University teams to deliver change in a complex organisation. Our ambition is clear, to make a significant difference in how we work and what we do, utilising technology and data to create sustainable solutions while focusing on building capability in our people to make sure we are ready for the future. In doing so, we will support our colleagues to deliver what really matters - excellence in teaching, research and the student experience. Our Purpose The Programme Delivery team supports Transformation and the University’s strategic ambitions by helping to shape and co-create the programmes which identify, innovate, and deliver initiatives that shape the future needs of the people and the environment around us, preparing our people, systems, and processes to meet those needs. As a Senior Project Manager, you will report to the Head of Project Delivery within the Programme Delivery directorate, working in partnership with Transformation and Information Services. You will provide strong Programme Management to provide oversight and drive the work of the team, from a project management perspective, who are developing the systems and services to enhance our staff and student experience.
