Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for Administrative Support Officers to assist our Matron on Jubilee Eye Suite within our Ophthalmology Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for arranging meetings, taking notes, supporting the use of Health-roster and the recruitment electronic system, in addition to booking mandatory training and providing full administrative service to the Matron.
We are looking for a well-organized and motivated person, with a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills, to provide high quality administrative support.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be responsible for arranging meetings, taking notes, supporting the use of Health-roster and the recruitment electronic system, in addition to booking mandatory training and providing full administrative service to the Matron.
Person specification
Experience
* Evidence of previous admin or secretarial experience in a busy environment.
* Record keeping and filing systems.
* Use of computerised record systems.
Skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with medical / technical / other relevant terminology.
Qualifications
* Evidence of good numeracy and literacy.
* GCSE level A-C including English and Maths.
* ECDL or other recognised IT qualification.
