A leading player in its field is looking to fill the key role of Head of Compliance. The key purpose of this role will be to ensure the Company is compliant with current, applicable; International Standards (9001, 14001, 22301, 27001), Health and Safety legislation; and other standards to which the company is certified and other requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain Registers of Legislation andother requirements, particularly Environmental, Data Protection, and Health& Safety
2. Monitor new and proposed legislation
3. Audit compliance on a regular basis andreport non-conformance to the Directors
4. Ensure the department maintainsmanagement systems to comply with ISO 9001, 14001, 22301, 27001, CPAS, FSC/PEFCand Health and Safety Legislation
5. Help the company work towards ISO 45001
6. Work with management to formulatecompany policies and procedures
7. Plan direct and co-ordinate employeeawareness of company policies and procedures
8. Plan, direct andco-ordinate the quality assurance activities undertaken and to be the catalystin developing, promoting, implementing and maintaining a quality improvementprogramme.
9. Assist top management to identify,assess and mitigate operational, strategic and reputational risk
10. Maintain a Risk Register, Risk TreatmentPlans and Business Impact Analysis
11. Promote a risk-based management culture
12. Maintain a schedule of internal audits
13. Ensure internal Auditors carry out andreport on planned audits
14. Ensure that non-conformances and arisingpreventative actions are tracked and closed
15. Manage external surveillance, duediligence and insurance assessor visits
16. Manage procedures to effectivelyinvestigate incidents and accidents ensuring that root cause and preventativeactions are adequately identified
17. Report activity weekly to the ManagementTeam
18. Report on activity, KPIs and trends tothe Board
As a member of the Management Team:
19. Monitor the impact of customer and operational activity on compliance and risk management
20. Raise awareness of incidents and accident investigation facilitating resolution
21. Set annual objectives
Experiencewithin the digital space is vital for this role. A background in manufacturingis also highly important. Working knowledge of the financial services industry ontop of digital and manufacturing would set you above all competition.
Ourclient’s compliance team consists of 2 other individuals. They are looking fora strong people manager who can let these individuals flourish, but also drivebehind the scenes.
Finding someone who ticks the above boxes is key, however organisational fit is equally as important for our client.
