SY ICB Sheffield Place are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Safeguarding Team. This is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge on all aspects of safeguarding by supporting the Safeguarding Team with business delivery including general administrative duties and information governance support.
We require someone with excellent administration skills who will develop professional working relationships both internally and externally as well as the ability to work on your own initiative with a can-do attitude. You must be able to manage your own workload whilst also working as part of a team. You will need experience in all aspects of administration and be a highly motivated individual with the ability to prioritise and adapt to the business needs.

Main duties of the job
* To provide an administrative function to the Safeguarding and Looked after Children Team.
* To support the development and implementation of systems and processes.
* To support the team with commissioning and monitoring.
* To administratively support all activities necessary so that the organisation meets its responsibilities to safeguard children, including looked after children and vulnerable people.

Job responsibilities
* Collating and providing information to assist with the development of SYICB policies, strategy, procedures, and guidelines ensuring that safeguarding and quality are considered in all service developments.
* To assist in facilitating health community workshops / conferences / Learning & Development Activity, as appropriate, with safeguarding and quality services.
* Working in a collaborative way by supporting processing and monitoring systems and being accountable for their own actions.
* Support the Safeguarding Team in promoting and delivering a patient safety culture across the health economy, ensuring that Sheffield Place is appropriately connected into public protection arrangements.
* Support the Safeguarding Team to support Sheffield CCG to meet their current and future statutory requirements for areas such as the Mental Capacity Act and Liberty Protection Safeguards and the Prevent Agenda.
* The post holder is required to utilise the highest level of skill in relaying sensitive, highly confidential, complex, and contentious information e.g., child protection GP reports. They will be required to do this across a range of multi-agency professionals and service users, as appropriate.
* Due to the nature of the work the post holder will have a current Disclosure and Barring certificate in line with Safeguarding Boards expectations.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Understanding
* Understanding of information governance, GDPR and confidentiality.
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and PowerPoint, internet, email etc.
* Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff.
* Understanding of the Safeguarding agenda.
* Knowledge and understanding of using the web and web-based information products (including the Intranet).
* Knowledge of current NHS Policies.
Experience
* Significant experience of working in the NHS.
* Experience of working within a safeguarding team.
* Experience of coordinating projects.
Skills and Competencies
* Working effectively as part of a team in a busy office.
* Significant experience of servicing, taking, and transcribing formal minutes at high level/senior meetings.
* Experience of managing own workload and dealing with conflicting priorities.
* Established written and oral presentation skills.
* Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing at a high level.
* Ability to work on own initiative whilst under pressure, including working to tight deadlines and prioritising work effectively.
* Ability to deal with sensitive/confidential issues daily and highlight to relevant professionals in the team.

* Experience as a personal/executive assistant to a senior director or Board level officer.
* Experience of producing detailed written reports and presentations.

Qualifications
* Qualifications in administration or business studies or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
