Job Summary Please note that this position is temporary. Salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours. The Finance team is looking to recruit a Principal Accountant for a time frame of 18 months. You will be working in the Finance team supporting the existing Principal Accountants. This role will provide support for Phase 2 of the Fusion Project. This role is varied and challenging requiring a diligent and resilient character with strong interpersonal, finance, and systems skills. The role will include the following but require you to work flexibly within the team to:- Ensure that the Fusion Phase 2 project in connection with HCM is co-ordinated between teams. Ensure that the requirements of Fusion and PBCS are included and that the output meets the requirement of the service to complete budgets and actuals. Work with HR, Business & Digital Change and external parties to ensure that delivery is well specified, timely, complete and accurate. Work with Business & Digital Change to ensure a suitable plan is set that is deliverable highlighting risks. Ensure costings are monitored in line with capital accountant. Ensure phase 1 of the projects dependencies are carried into phase 2 including pre-requisites of system ensuring knowledge transfer from Phase 1 is included. Attend all meetings in relation to the project. PVG / Disclosure Scotland The following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteria. Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.
