We at ChefsBay are currently on the search for a CDP for a client of oursbased in Nantwich.
This roleis set to begin on 10th November and will last for a period of sixmonths. As the position is within a college environment and youwill be working in proximity to individuals under 18 an enhancedDBS check is required. If you do not currently hold one you must bewilling to obtainit.
Pay: 16phholiday pay17.92ph

Requirement:You must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one at a costof 51

Key TasksandResponsibilities:
* Cookfood for service in a highvolume kitchen using freshingredients.
* Organise and prep aheadfor future services.
* Supervisejunior staff to ensure quality and correctportions.
* Collaborate with head/souschef on daily orders.
* Maintain fullknowledge of menu items recipes and presentationstandards.
* Ensure personal hygienesafety and proper equipmentuse.
* Meet deadlines and help othersachieve standards.
* Monitor foodexpiry dates and storage.
* Supportstock management and monthly stocktakes.
* Manage junior chefs andkitchen istants when sous chef isabsent.
* Batch cook to reduce wasteand ensure proper foodlabelling.
* Implement firstinfirstout food rotation and qualitychecks.
* Clean section fridges andkitchen areas regularly.
* Consultwith head/sous chef on daily requirements andevents.
* Set an example in hygieneand cleanliness.
* Be flexible andproactive in isting whereneeded.
* Maintain kitchen hygienecompleting HACCP and COSHHmonitoring.
* Promote healthy eatingand offer educational advice tocustomers.
