Let us introduce the role The People Operations Manager oversees the People Functions governance and manages the People Plan on behalf of the People Director. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the People function within People & Places, holding the integrated delivery plan, ensuring delivery against agreed business milestones and providing critical reporting to the People Director. This role will also ensure interconnectivity of People plan and reporting within the People & Places governance and reporting requirement, working closely with the TA to Chief People & Places Officer. Some of the Key Accountabilities Governance : develop, implement, and maintain a robust governance framework for the people function on behalf of the People Director and put controls in place to ensure effective adherence to the framework Programme Management : define and maintain the People strategy programme, track and report on progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics and identify and mitigate risks, and proactively address issues Stakeholder management: build strong relationships with key stakeholders within People & Places function, across the enterprise, and where appropriate with external parties. Ensure effective communication of complex information to a diverse audience, tailoring messages to their specific needs and proactively address concerns driving resolution and deconfliction in an engaging and influential way Reporting: working in collaboration with the People Insights team, TA to Chief People & Places Officer (CPPO) and Finance and enterprise Portfolio Management stakeholders, produce timely and high-quality reports to meet People Director and CPPO requirements, intended for a range of audiences including board level Some of the Key Responsibilities Manage on behalf of the People Director the delivery of the People Strategy programmes, ensuring delivery against business milestones and integration to business reporting rhythm and facilitating effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams Lead on activities which enable effective oversight and adherence with employment law, regulations, internal policies, audits and regulatory reviews Working with the People Director to deliver engagement activity for the People Function such as all hands, key briefings and working sessions Oversee the People Function Budget and Resource allocation, ensuring we are delivering with the agreed envelope Support the People Director in managing the operational aspects of People Function on a day to day basis Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following: An understanding of employment laws and HR regulations and best practices Degree in relevant field or the equivalent in experience Proven experience in people operations, programme management, governance, and executive reporting (or equivalent in complexity and audience expectations).
