A bit about the role Action for Children Guernsey provides a broad range of unique and innovative services for young people aged 13-25 who are experiencing difficulties in relation to accommodation, employment and seeks to specifically address drug and alcohol issues preventatively. Our Youth Housing service, which has been continuously funded for the past decade, is a vital service that each year supports over 200 young people typically aged 16 to 25 facing challenges with accommodation, substance misuse and finding work We provide a welcoming and accessible service that respects and values young people as individuals we are professional, non-judgemental, and confidential encouraging young people to make informed healthy decisions. We are looking for a Practice Team Leader, to manage a team of Practitioners. You'll do this by: Providing high quality service (including those with a regulatory requirement) to children, young people and their families, based on an assessment of need and outcomes. Working closely with senior staff and managers to review and evaluate service provision, ensuring continued improvements are made, driving innovation and business development, in particular for an assigned area of work. Providing support to children, young people and families by agreeing and directly applying interventions, liaising with other agencies and professionals. Participating, chairing, facilitating and leading of relevant multiagency meetings e.g. service planning meetings, home visits and conference meetings, where appropriate. Being responsible for the delivery of quality services, including operational and strategic planning and deployment of resources and to work with commissioners and other external bodies. Coordinating a delegated budget to ensure efficient usage and reporting, in accordance with agreed procedures. What we need from you: Significant post qualification experience of working with children, young people and or families in a multi-agency environment and achieving positive outcomes through intervention. Delivery of service user needs assessment, ensuring accurate and update retention of information. Advanced experience of chairing, supporting and contributing to service planning meetings. Experience of the development and practice of community working, including influencing involvement. Producing clear, concise written reports capturing and progressing the salient issues to action.
