The successful applicant will be responsible for (but not limited too): Providing one-on-one career guidance to students, helping them explore their interests, skills, and career options. Developing and delivering career-related workshops and presentations on topics such as resume writing, interview skills, and job searching strategies. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of labour market trends, educational pathways, and career resources. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external organisations to support students' career development. Administering and interpreting career assessments and providing feedback to students. Maintaining accurate records of student interactions and career plans. Contributing to school career events and initiatives. The key skills and qualities of a Careers Advisor are: Previous experience as a Careers Advisor or in a related field (e.g., counselling, education, recruitment). A passion for helping young people achieve their career goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. Strong knowledge of career development theories and best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Proficiency in using career resources and technology.
