We are recruiting some SC CLEARED Infrastructure Engineering Specialists for our Leeds based client. On offer is an initial 6 month contract role (extension likely) at a daily rate up to Circa £550 per day (Inside IR35), the role is hybrid with 2 days per week in the office after the initial 3 weeks training. This role will require active security clearance. What you will be working on:The purpose of this role is to help implement and support a complex IP migration programme.You will work with other infrastructure engineers, specialist on-site engineers to configure and deploy network and computing components of a government platform, below are some of the key tasks: Supports the design, implementation and execution of technical solutions for both customers and colleagues, technology choices and architecture for a wide range of high-performance products, capabilities, and platforms, effectively balancing short-term impact with long-term transformation Supports the delivery of an ambitious and compelling technical roadmap to meet the needs of the business, engineering team, and partner teams Assists with planning and monitoring of all activities, from scoping to live, to ensure agreed scope and benefits are delivered in a contained project. Develops working relationships and communicates with a range of project stakeholders across teams to ensure actions completed, progress updated and impacts on other components managed. Supports the identification and resolution of issues and defects to ensure delivery to required standard. Reviews own work and peers' outputs to contribute to identify and flag errors or potential issues. Who you will be working for:Our client is a well-known organisation based in Leeds. We are looking for someone with: IP networking skillset, e.g. device roles and subnets, routers, switches, management and installation of devices Linux Operating Systems experience is required Basic command line/programming skills, interacting with servers, e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Perl etc. IP networking fundamentals & IT security management Awareness of agile methodologies Microservices/service oriented architecture Windows Server knowledge, e.g. AD, DNS, server management Oracle database knowledge, e.g. SQL, PL/SQL, administration CISCO accreditation desirable This role will require an active security clearance.
