Purpose of the Position:
To deliver a high-quality training programme and complete assessments, reviews and completions in a timely manner as set by management, achieving or exceeding the required quality standards. To support all elements of the learner journey, providing participants with constructive, professional and relevant feedback for them to gain the Diploma and full L3 Apprenticeship standard of Senior Healthcare Support Worker. Ensuring learners are supported and prepared for gateway and End Point Assessment within the required timelines.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Arrange visits/contact with learners and line managers to induct, observe, and progress learners in the workplace.
2. Assess the work of learners in/at the virtual and onsite classroom/workplace within set timeframes and to achieve targets set by management.
3. Provide constructive, professional, and relevant feedback to learners in relation to their qualification.
4. Observe learners in/at the workplace against criteria laid down by the awarding body and give feedback as appropriate.
5. Ensure own assessments are accurate and achieve verification.
6. Carry out reviews with learners and line managers, submitting paperwork within agreed timescales.
7. Ensure that own allocated learners are progressing in line with their target achievement dates and liaise with the Programme Manager for monitoring progress.
8. Identify situations requiring periods of absence from the programme and complete/submit accurate paperwork as required.
9. Ensure that learner records are accurately maintained, including paper/electronic portfolios.
10. Complete visits to other sites and locations when required or as directed by management.
11. Maintain positive relations with learners, line managers, and all other stakeholders.
12. Help participants to develop positive attitudes towards learning and studying.
13. Attend standardization and team meetings as required.
14. Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Key Relationships:
1. Maintain effective working relationships with each learner/line manager within your caseload.
2. Communicate effectively with your line manager, highlighting any issues prior to becoming critical.
3. Maintain professional working relationships with all Pearson TQ customers, promoting a positive image of Pearson TQ.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Proven IAG, coaching and mentoring skills.
2. Experience of the Ofsted inspection framework.
3. Work under their own supervision.
4. Sector Specific qualification – minimum L3 NVQ/Diploma in Healthcare with clinical experience.
5. Good written skills that captures detailed feedback and target setting of objectives.
6. TAQA/A1/D32/33.
7. V1/D34.
8. Teaching qualification.
9. Knowledge of Apprenticeship standards.
