Maintenance Caretaker Supervisor

£25,852 - £27,212 per annum
40 hours per week
We are looking for hard working and self-motivated individual with a good eye for detail to work as a Maintenance Caretaker Supervisor at Murano St Student Village, Glasgow. In this role you will supervise and support the Maintenance Caretaker team in accordance with contract and service specifications to meet the needs of the customer and the business. You will allocate, prioritise, and undertake site reactive repairs and maintenance duties serving as a first point of contact for customers and working in accordance with local and legislative procedures.
The role of Maintenance CaretakerSupervisor will include:
* Undertake planned routine works in accordance with site requirements and within relevant regulatory frameworks
* Assist in undertaking building checks and audits to ensure safe and secure environments for all stakeholders
* Identify and report any potential maintenance issues which require specialist or contractor attendance to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
* Manage stock levels, requisitions and distribution to ensure availability of materials and equipment when needed and that service delivery costs are cost effective.
* Support operational staff and customers in resolving queries, ensuring customers are kept informed
* Undertake waste management and cleaning in accordance with the specific site requirements and schedules.
Skills and experiences:
* Able to demonstrate a level of numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of Grade C English and Maths GCSE
* Some experience of undertaking a similar role or completing similar tasks
* Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
* Practical skill in identifying and /or carrying out repairs
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
* Good interpersonal and customer care skills
