Duties
Ensure the smooth day to day operation of the Warehouse, according to group policies and strategies.
Motivate and inspire teams to exceed customer expectations and also to manage customer expectations accordingly where required.
Oversee a 2-year warehouse development plan including overseeing contractors installing moveable racking in 2025 and the implementation of BRC in 2026.
Build and maintain strong relationships with head office personnel, to provide exceptional service for group customers.
Continuous improvement contribution with inhouse IT team to further develop bespoke warehouse software.
Providing guidance, training, and support to a team of warehouse staff to optimise performance.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
Responsible for ensuring all site health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
Hands on approach to supporting the warehouse team unload 8-10 containers per month.
Regular inspection of warehouse tools and equipment and arranging repairs/maintenance as required.
Always maintain all areas to a standard of excellence.
Skills / Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a large warehouse, logistics, production or factory setting.
Previous experience in a BRC accredited warehouse environment is desirable.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop teams.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in IT systems and software.
Ability to multi-task and delegate effectively.
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and at times delivering results under pressure.
Forklift licence.Location: Buxhall, Suffolk
Hours: 40hrs per week / Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
