As a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse on the Maternity ward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the standards and quality of care provided to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
• Acting as the Deputy, regularly taking charge of the ward and ensuring high standards of care and environment.
• Providing effective leadership and role modeling, offering regular direct clinical care.
• Working flexibly within the ward/department team to ensure standards are maintained, evaluated, and improved as necessary.
• Supporting clinical audits and maintaining essential nursing care standards
• Managing day-to-day staff operations, including appraisals, recruitment, disciplinary issues, work allocation, and training delivery.
