Mechanical Engineer\n\nLocation:Leicester\nSalary: £37,225.50 per annum\nShift: Monday to Friday, Days (37.5 hours per week)\nJob Type: Permanent\n\nEngineering @ 365 is working in partnership with a large-scale manufacturing business in the Leicester area, now recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join their established engineering team.\n\nThis role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their engineering career – whether recently qualified or with some hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting. It’s a development-focused position within a supportive team, offering the chance to build your skills across mechanical systems, preventative maintenance, and design work.\n\nJob Description:\nAs a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be part of a close-knit engineering department working across a modern production facility. This is not a reactive maintenance role — instead, you’ll focus on learning, supporting the wider team, and growing into an all-round mechanical engineer.
You’ll assist with routine tasks, get involved with design and project work, and build a deep understanding of the plant and its equipment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Assist in mechanical breakdowns and troubleshooting with support from experienced engineers\n\n * \n\n Carry out preventative maintenance activities on production equipment\n\n * \n\n Learn and understand how machinery operates and support continuous improvements\n\n * \n\n Work with the team to assemble mechanical components and assist in upgrades\n\n * \n\n Use AutoCAD for basic mechanical designs and layout work\n\n * \n\n Conduct routine mechanical testing and analysis\n\n * \n\n Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the shop floor and workshop\n\n * \n\n Optional shift cover (12-hour shifts) available to increase earnings and broaden experience\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Level 3 Apprenticeship, mechanical engineering qualification, or relevant degree\n\n * \n\n Some hands-on experience with mechanical systems in a workshop or manufacturing environment\n\n * \n\n Understanding of key components such as motors, bearings, shafts, and belts\n\n * \n\n A proactive, positive approach with a genuine desire to learn and develop\n\n * \n\n Experience using AutoCAD (or willingness to learn)\n\n * \n\n Strong attention to detail and safe working practices\n\nPackage/Benefits:\n\n * \n\n Salary: £37,225.50 per annum\n\n * \n\n Company pension\n\n * \n\n Private healthcare (following successful probation)\n\n * \n\n 20 days annual leave + Bank Holidays\n\n * \n\n Discounted on-site staff shop\n\n * \n\n Free on-site car parking\n\nHow to Apply:\nTo apply, please submit your CV via this advert or contact Engineering @ 365 directly.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer:\nEngineering @ 365 is committed to creating an inclusive working environment and welcomes applications from all backgrounds and experiences
