About the Team Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll be part of a small, established team of five. What you’ll be doing Financial Operations Management: Oversee the finance department's daily operations. Ensure smooth and efficient financial management and accurate reporting. Budget Coordination : Working closely with the Finance Director and CoS, leading the organisation's budget, monitoring ongoing financial spending, and providing insights and recommendations. Financial Reporting: Sense check accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to guide business decisions. Financial Forecasting : Provide financial insights and data-driven recommendations to support long-term strategic planning. Cash Flow Management : Monitor and manage the organisation’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for business operations. Data Analysis : Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance financial performance Accuracy and Compliance : Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and compliance with regulatory requirements. Leverage Technology : Utilise the latest financial software and technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations. Passionate Learner : Fueled by a desire to grow, you're constantly seizing every opportunity to develop your skills and soak up knowledge Experience and skills required Finance Expertise : A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management or accounting, with a proven track record as a Finance Manager or similar roles. Fast-Paced Environments : Experience thriving in dynamic, fast-paced settings and managing multiple priorities effectively. Start-Up/Scale-Up Experience : Hands-on experience in start-up or scale-up settings, bringing a flexible and adaptable approach to the table. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, Excel, and Power BI, coupled with a strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting. Professional Certification : ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification is strongly preferred. The Perks (The important details) Salary : Dependant on experience Performance-based bonus : Up to 20% of base salary (10% company performance 10% team performance). Hybrid Working : 2 days a week in our Brighton office for full-time team members, we are able to consider weekly working hours between 30 and 37.5 for this role.
