Center Director
KidBridge Learning Centers, a member of the Magical Beginnings family, is looking for a Center Director to lead our school in Norwell. As Director, you ensure your center operates safely, efficiently, successfully, and profitably. Your staff and teachers should all be satisfied customers impressed by our efforts to excel in all aspects of our operation. Your job description encompasses all aspects of successful daily, monthly, and yearly operations. Our directors oversee enrollment, teacher retention, events, daily operations, supply ordering, and center cleanliness.
The Director plays a crucial role in creating and refining the center’s culture by supporting teachers in developing an innovative, hands-on curriculum designed for the children in your care and building an environment where the children, families, and staff thrive. The ability to lead by example is an essential aspect of this position. The ability to work a flexible schedule over five (5) days is required.
What You’ll Do
1. Oversee all center operations, ensuring that they follow state regulations and Kidbridge Learning Center’s mission, goals, and handbooks. Provide excellent customer service, exceeding customer expectations.
2. Ensure and implement all child-to-teacher state-mandated ratio compliances.
3. Ensure and enforce all state-mandated safety and education regulations.
4. Ensure and implement all company policies and procedures per employee and family handbooks.
5. Convey and display mastery of licensure regulations, including the ability to prepare a school for licensure visits, communicate with licensors, and adapt to changing regulations.
6. Ensure all staff and child files always meet compliance.
7. Ensure monthly fire drills are completed.
8. Schedule school staff within budgeted payroll guidelines, ensuring that licensure guidelines and company quality standards are met and maintained.
9. Guide our teaching team to excellence.
10. Engage in active listening with staff to build relationships, understand individuals' goals and interests, take the initiative to assist in achieving those goals, and create a cohesive team effort with cooperative relationships.
11. Ensure the implementation of a developmental and multicultural curriculum that fosters the progression of skills and social development in all children.
12. Review each classroom’s daily program schedule to ensure that it reflects the progression of skill development between classrooms. Monitor the implementation of the curriculum as planned.
13. Help guide staff in assessing growth and recording weekly growth as observations in Teacher Strategies Gold.
14. Conduct monthly staff meetings, one-on-one meetings with all staff, and parent meetings as needed.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
1. A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or other degree with relevant experience or training.
2. EEC Director II Certification, active maintenance of annual continuing education requirements, current First Aid and CPR Certificate, and updated State Registry required.
3. A complete mastery of licensure regulations, including preparing for all licensing visits, communicating with licensors, and adapting to licensing changes.
4. Minimum of 2-4 years experience in a leadership position in an early childhood education setting.
