My client isexcited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Internal Account Manager to join their UK external sales office of a family-owned company on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role involves managing a portfolio of blue-chip clients predominantly in the retail industry, including major accounts like Tesco, Sainsbury’sand M&S.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist the Key Account Directors and Sales Managers in all aspects of account management, including face-to-face meetings with customers.
* Support the delivery of new ideas to existing and potential customers through effective communication and relationship building.
* Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and presentations for meetings with key accounts.
* Manage internal data for the account, creating, implementing, and maintaining stock reports, forecasts, technical libraries, and other required reports.
* Assist with the general running of the office and perform PA duties to senior staff.
* Handle data entry, order processing, and credit control for your account.
* Assist the external sales team in dealing with any quality complaints.
* Oversee orders placed by your account from quotation to in-store delivery, coordinating effectively with the sales team in Germany and other departments/countries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience managing high-profile blue-chip accounts.
* Articulate and experienced in a client-facing role.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet client deadlines.
* Skilled in analysing raw data and effectively communicating stock requirements, sales data, and market trends.
* Comfortable using customers’ external online systems for stock management and delivery schedules.
* Willingness and ability to learn about packaging and sustainability.
* Strong IT skills.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related business field is highly regarded.
* German language skills are highly regarded.
