We are recruiting Band 5 Staff Nurses for Lynfield Mount Hospital & Airedale Centre for Mental Health

A ‘Welcome’ Payment of £1000 for new employees starting in a permanent band 5 nurse role - 50% to be paid on appointment and 50% after 6 months in post.
All wards are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) including dedicated Psychology and Occupational therapy staff, Consultant Psychiatrist and local GP.
As a Staff Nurse on our ward you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to patients and will hold delegated responsibility for management of the ward on a shift basis including supervision of support staff.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Registered Mental Nursing Certificate (RMN) or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD)2
2. Current Registration on part 3 or part 13 of NMC register
Desirable criteria
3. ENB 998 or other teaching certificate.
4. Accredited counselling course or equivalent.
Training
Essential criteria
5. Willingness to undergo education and training for both practice and service need
6. Willingness to work towards professional and performance objectives
7. Contribute to education/training of others
Desirable criteria
8. ENB 998 or other teaching certificate.
9. Accredited counselling course or equivalent.
Experience
Essential criteria
10. Experience of working in a mental health setting either substantively or through placement.
11. For entry onto start of Band 5 as per qualification specification.
Desirable criteria
12. Experience in relevant area of Mental Health Nursing.
13. Involvement in innovative nursing practice.
14. Worked as Named Nurse/Primary Nurse/Keyworker/Team leader
15. Experience of being clinical adviser / supervisor to junior staff or students.
16. Worked within named nurse to client group.
17. Minimum of 6 months post basic experience in Mental Health (achieved by prospective duty on an acute mental health ward).
