Responsibilities
:
1. Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing mentoring, coaching, and training.
2. Take ownership of projects, ensuring high-quality design, delivery, and client satisfaction.
3. Conduct inspections, site surveys, and assessments of structures, and prepare detailed reports.
4. Oversee the design of civil & structural schemes, reviewing designs and performing detailed calculations by hand and through computer models.
5. Advise junior staff and support other team members in finding innovative technical solutions.
6. Prepare and manage project programmes, workload, and resources, working closely with directors.
7. Liaise with clients to verify project scope, ensure deliverables, and address any issues.
8. Prepare tenders and fee proposals, fostering new and existing client relationships.
9. Actively participate in meetings with clients to promote the company's skills and capabilities.
10. Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and the growth of the team.
Experience Required:
11. A relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree .
12. Chartered status or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE).
13. At least 8+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering or 5+ Years for the Senior Role.
14. Strong technical knowledge in structural assessments, design, calculations, and analysis of both newbuild and existing structures.
15. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
16. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage resources effectively.
17. Full UK driving licence and own transport.
18. Eligible to live and work in the UK, with a high standard of written English.
What You’ll Receive in Return:
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
Annual Leave: 26 days + bank holidays, plus your birthday off.
