Bennett & Game are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a Main Contractor, based in Chichester. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be working both in the UK and Worldwide on a variety of commercial projects ranging from £50k to £10M+ inclusive of fitout, refurbishment, and D&B. Locations include London, Europe, Asia, Middle-East, and Africa, with around 10-20 days per year spent travelling overseas for site visits.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
1. Assisting in the delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Preparing tender documentation.
3. Attending project meetings to manage sub-contractors and consultants.
4. Supporting procurement and logistics.
5. Assisting with final accounts and CVRs.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, etc.) in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction and will ideally have a minimum of 6 months of experience. However, candidates fresh from education will be considered as long as they have the right attitude and work ethic.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements

3. Must hold a valid UK Passport and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years for security clearance reasons.
4. Driving licence desirable but not essential if able to commute to Chichester.
5. Excellent work ethic with a desire for career progression.
6. Professional & Presentable due to being client-facing.
