Due to retirement, we are recruiting a Technical Sales Person to join a long-established Engineering manufacturer based in the West Midlands .The role will be mainly office based, with some UK visits.The main duties will be: Understanding customer needs, specifying suitable, often bespoke products, Estimating the cost, by sourcing outside costs ,such as material & services, and internal operation times Developing the total cost price per piece on our computer system, and researching the delivery time and sell price Proactively selling to existing and new clients, to obtain the best price that will win the order Helping and assisting existing staff, with enquiries, technical aspects, quotations, orders, processing, reporting, dealing with queries & other such issues. The ideal applicant will be: Conscientious, and able to work within our existing team, whilst having the ability to manage your own workload. Product knowledge is not essential, providing you are very keen, and capable of ready drawings and specifications ,and learning all the technical aspects of our products. Applicants should have experience of working in a similar engineering role and have a proven sales track record. Self-motivated and able to manage your workload independently, while working collaboratively with the wider team. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
