Are you a motivated and passionate Process Development Manager looking for the challenge of taking a mission-driven organisation to its next level of success?
Ornua is actively seeking a Process Development Manager to join our technical department as we continue our growth trajectory. The Process Development Manager will play a key role in managing a team of Technical Account Managers and Technologists. This role will manage customer products from idea through to launch including trials, completion of shelf life validation, artwork, finished product specifications, and retailer relationships from a Technical perspective. Our retailer relationships are key, and the role will oversee the Technical Account Management of these and ensure Ornua is viewed as great at what we do.
As our Process Development Manager, you will lead a team of 7 direct reports. You will be a collaborative and agile individual and will sit within the wider technical team.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
The Process Development Manager is responsible for leading on:
1. Effective management of the activities and professional development of the Process Team to ensure best practice is achieved consistently in a timely manner.
2. Input the site Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with European Legislation, Customer Codes of Practice, BRC Versions & Ornua Group Technical Codes of Practice & Guidelines.
3. Work closely with key stakeholders internally to ensure excellent relationships and ways of working exist enabling us to work as one Ornua team.
4. Through Process Technologists, deliver effective trial systems, accurate internal & external specifications.
5. New products effectively launched to agreed timescales including artwork sign off compliant to legislation.
6. Maintenance & review of all the QMS relating to the Process Team activities.
7. Maintain compliance with Technical KPI targets.
8. Fully support necessary functions of trials, NLF’s, and PCCT’s.
9. Active participation in Food Safety, BRC & Customer Audits as required.
10. Own the Technical management of all retailer accounts to drive their product agendas forward and ensure we are recognised as being great.
11. Manage, develop and complete the customer KPI reports on time and in full.
12. Ensure retailer improvement plans are in place, communicated, delivered and reviewed.
13. Coaching employees in the implementation & training of technical systems & procedures.
14. Proactively encourage & drive initiatives in support of continuous improvement.
What You Bring To The Role:
1. Higher level Education in Food Science or similar discipline and/or relevant industry experience.
2. Extensive experience in chilled food manufacture including HACCP and experience with managing products to launch.
3. Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach.
4. Experience of working with major retail customers.
5. Dairy & ready-to-eat product experience, and Intermediate microbiology qualification or above.
6. Experience of working with electronic data systems and retailer systems.
