Job Description
Business Analyst – Internet Protocol
This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in the Milton Keynes or Irlam office at least 3 days a week.
As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.
Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.
What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!
Joining us as a Business Analyst – Internet Protocol
As a Business Analyst you will focus on the planning, monitoring, and managing the capacity of IP (Internet Protocol) networks, working closely with the IP Planners and the Capacity Planning team. You’ll identify capacity gaps and develop solutions to enhance network performance.
You’ll receive a salary of up to £54,000, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
* Analyse technical data to identify and address gaps in network capacity, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
* Collaborate with Finance and Procurement teams to create accurate budgets and forecasts for network assets
* Develop and maintain version-controlled documentation of methodologies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and best practices across the team
* Work with technical teams to translate data analysis into actionable solutions for capacity planning and network optimisation
* Lead and support initiatives to streamline business processes, improve efficiency, and deliver better network planning outcomes
What you’ll bring to the role
You will have a strong understanding of network capacity management, IP Planning, and data-driven solutions in a telecom environment. You’ll also have:
* Proven ability to analyse large datasets, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to solve complex network challenges
* A proven track record in the creation of reports and dashboards
* Excellent documentation & presentation skills
* Good understanding of Software Development life cycles
