Oncology Pharmacist - Private Hospital
Ackerman Pierce are looking for an Oncology Pharmacist to provide a first-class clinical pharmacy service to the oncology department and chemotherapy day unit. The role will include providing a comprehensive and patient-centered service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients at a private hospital.
You will play an essential role in ensuring medicines optimisation; safe, appropriate, accurate and cost-effective services to ensure patients receive their medication in a timely, professional and efficient manner with all the necessary practical and clinical information.
Salary: 45/h

What you'll need as an Oncology Pharmacist - Private Hospital:
* Experience as an Oncology Pharmacist
* Abide by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards of conduct, ethics and performance as well as standards for registered pharmacies, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations
* Provide a comprehensive and patient-centered clinical pharmacy service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients in accordance with the hospital's objectives to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost-efficient use of drugs.
* Act as a specialist oncology pharmacist and provide a patient-focused clinical pharmacy ward service to the oncology ward and chemotherapy day unit.
* Ensure safe management of oncology electronic prescribing system and appropriate management of the introduction of new oncology medicines.
* Communicate information relating to medicines management within the oncology setting to clinical colleagues, nurses, independent prescribers, carers, and patients.
* Attend and actively contribute to oncology MDTs and ward rounds, ensuring all processes align with RPS, GPhC, MHRA, Home Office, and hospital SOP standards.
What you will bring:
* Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
* Member of General Pharmaceutical Council
* Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
* Broad clinical pharmacy background including ward-based work
* Recent and significant experience of UK aseptic services, oncology, and chemotherapy services.
* Experience of initiating, leading, and developing services
* Membership of the British Cancer Services Pharmacy Association
* SACT knowledge acquired working as a cancer pharmacist
