Project Manager – 2 Years Fixed Term Contract

This is a site-based role in Worthing, UK.
At our GSC Worthing site, we have a proud heritage in global manufacture of oral antibiotics (solid dose and dry powder suspension). The site also manufactures bulk export material for use at other manufacturing sites in our network.
On site we produce over 50 million packs to our patients each year, with growing demand in the future. This role will take responsibility for leading a complex, large scale project working at pace involving the planning and execution to strict timelines. Delivery against this project plan will require the matrix management of representatives across multiple on-site and central functions including MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology), Operations, Supply, Artwork & Quality teams, as well as the offsite Programme Management and Regulatory teams.
In this role you will:
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Manage and coordinate change requests, ensuring they are evaluated, approved, and integrated into the project plan, communicating changes effectively to all stakeholders and manage their impact on project outcomes.
* Lead the execution of project plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and adherence to GSK's standards and methodologies. Oversee the project budget, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources. Monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle, identifying any variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to stay within budget.
* Ensure delivery against the project plan managing identified risks appropriately and integrating safety and quality into all processes.
* Coordinate and lead a cross-functional team through matrix management to ensure project goals are met.
* Monitor project progress and address roadblocks promptly. Escalate issues to relevant stakeholders and sponsors as necessary.
* Robust project reporting through tiered accountability and governance.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
* Degree level qualification (or strong equivalent experience) in an appropriate discipline.
* Strong ability to manage and influence stakeholders at site and the wider business.
* Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated Project Management skills and experience, particularly on major technical and/or capital projects.
* Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation.
* Proven capabilities in enabling and driving change, delivering solutions, developing people, and building relationships across multiple interfaces and in a matrix environment.
* Experience in Operational Excellence tools, and use of process performance metrics.
