Docman up to 20 letters per day Referrals via WCCG or referrals which are not able to be sent via WCCG Medication reviews 6 per day Medication requests 6 per day Equal share of blood results Administration: Whether arising directly from this caseload (referrals, investigations, results) and indirectly (reports, medicals, etc). You will be expected to carry out your administration duties and possible home visits between 8am and 6.30pm. Primary Care Meetings: Formal or informal. Essential to the delivery of team-based care. Discussing clinical practice standards. Developing practice protocols. Mutual professional support for the individual practitioners. Audit. Significant event analysis. Meetings with colleagues in the locality, care trust etc. Where these occur on an ad hoc basis, adjustments to clinical workload may be required. Duties: Acting as the buddy to cover another doctors list of patients when that doctor is absent from the practice. Keeping adequate and legible clinical notes on all patient matters as expected of a General Practitioner. Abiding by any protocols or guidelines adopted by the practice. Abiding by any referral and prescribing guidelines adopted by the practice. Undertaking Medical Audit as appropriate. Undertaking all clinical Governance activity as appropriate. Abiding by the Practice Complaints Procedure. Attending Practice Meetings as required. Undertaking all necessary medical and data entry requirements of the new GMS contract. Attend an annual internal Practice Performance Review. To ensure you renew your GMC membership and other relevant membership. Undertake annual GP appraisal. Specific Specialist Roles within the Practice: Responsibility for particular areas of practice development, QiF areas of responsibility, Practitioner with Special Interest etc. Personal CPD (Continuing professional Development): This may include a mix of in-house meetings and events, time away from the practice, either in private study, attending educational events or time in lieu of attending educational events outside of normal working hours. Your weekly CPD entitlement is 2 hours 67 minutes which can be requested for professional development. This time must be approved by the HR lead in advance and be in accordance with your personal development (PDP). You must keep a log of the time spent on professional development and that log must be shown to the HR lead on request following CPD sessions. CPD may be accrued and if approved in advance by HR lead taken as study leave to attend courses in line with your PDP.
