Exciting NEW opportunity to join our Finance Team to support our growth in the US, supporting our mission to bring high quality, affordable fitness to everyone, everywhere!
The role will focus on preparation of US month end management accounts, accruals and prepayments, and reporting on financial performance. Reviewing and reconciling financial and operational data and providing support to business stakeholders. This is a hybrid working role, 3 days a week from our Leeds Office.
The Role:
Having recently acquired 50+ gyms in the US, the group is recruiting a US focused finance team, to provide a robust financial control, reporting and budgeting function for US operations with revenue of c$130 million. The team will be based in the UK Head Office in Leeds alongside the UK and Group functions.
Responsibilities include:
1. Line manager to the Management Accountant
2. Preparation of management accounts, month end schedules, accruals and prepayments.
3. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including vending stock and fixed assets.
4. Reconciliation and reporting of key income statement lines across revenue, operating expenses and head office costs.
5. Reporting of capital expenditure and maintenance of the fixed asset register.
6. Monthly review of results and commentary on variances.
7. Preparation of budgets and periodic reforecasts alongside the US Commercial Finance function.
8. Partnering with budget holders to assist them in managing their areas of expenditure.
9. Liaison with the wider business as needed to support their understanding of financial results.
10. Assist with year-end audit re. US areas "in-scope" for Group.
11. Assist with accurate & timely local US tax compliance.
12. Assist in the preparation of cash flow information - forecast & actuals.
13. Involvement in other ad hoc areas as requested.
14. Other reasonable duties or attendance at meetings as required.
The Person:
1. Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with 2+ years PQE and proven experience delivering monthly accounting.
2. Passionate about PureGym and understands how accounting function can best serve wider business needs.
3. A high achiever who is looking to be part of an energetic, fast growing business.

5. Hands-on and able to work on their own initiative but also able to work together as a team, motivating and leading a team to meet key deadlines such as the month end accounts.

8. Strong attention to detail, and proven ability to work to deadlines through effective time management.
9. Experienced line manager, including setting objectives, delivering appraisals, and managing performance.
10. Excellent excel skills.
11. Experience of working with Medius, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and IBM Planning & Analytics would be an advantage, but not essential.
