The Position Job Title: Business Finance Apprentice Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Duration: 13 - 15 months EPA Location: Chelmsford CM2 Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 6pm Salary: £15,000 About the role The position would suit an individual looking to join an established team within a fast-paced work environment. With a business focus on the distribution of cutting-edge technology, the team are forward thinking and resilient to the daily challenges customer demands can bring. As the company focuses on clear communication the accounts team ensures the wheels keep turning and are the backbone of the operations process. An understanding of accounts is essential to excel in this role, along with the ability to support the sales and purchase ledger functions. This streamlined team offers the ability to continuously grow and develop as the role allows you access to every part of the accounts function. With support from line managers and full access to senior managers when required this is a great opportunity to develop your skills on a general level. Role and Responsibilities: Processing purchase invoices and identifying discrepancies. · Posting bank payments. · Liaising with suppliers or customers to resolve queries. · Assisting with purchase ledger and sales ledger maintenance. · General office duties. · Responding to emails / phone calls. · Assisting with other accounting duties and supporting the accounts team when required. Area of knowledge gained: · General Business · Understanding our organisation · Accounting systems and processes · Basic Accounting · Ethical standards Skills Required: · Attention to Detail · Excellent Communication Skills · 5 GCSEs grade A- C/ 9-4 or equivalent (Including English Language & Maths) · Desire to progress within a finance role. Personal Qualities · A strong ‘can do’ attitude · Willingness to learn and throw yourself into any situation · Professional · Punctual · Interested in keeping up to date with the technology industry and commerce/business in general.
