An incredible new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Care Home Manager to manage an exceptional residential care home based in the Shrewsbury, Shropshire area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers.
This fantastic service, originally a vicarage, has been extended and refurbished to provide every resident dedicated care 24 hours a day.
To be considered for this position, you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage staff and resources so that each resident can enjoy a dignified and fulfilling life.
2. Work closely with your Clinical Lead and the wider healthcare and hospitality teams to ensure the quality of individual service and care consistently meets high standards and those of our external regulators.
3. Report to the regional Operations Manager, creating and leading a vision for the home to ensure a philosophy of continuous improvement, encouraging and supporting the home's journey to 'outstanding.'
4. Manage people and processes, liaising closely with residents, their families, professional contacts, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. A good working knowledge, with a proven record of CQC standards and the ability to work towards achieving Outstanding.
2. Good communication skills and the ability to maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, with internal and external professionals, families, and visitors.
3. A proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home.
4. Enthusiasm and passion for developing high levels of person-centred care.
5. Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service.
