Job description Yourconstruction are delighted to be looking for a Setter to join a manufacturer in Sutton Coldfield area. The shifts: Rotational days/afternoons - Salary depending on experience Level 1 - £13.65ph, Level 2 - £14.70ph and Level 3 - £15.75ph. Days - Mon – Thu 05:50 – 13:30, Friday 06:40 – 13:30. Afternoons – Mon - Thu13:30 – 21:00, Friday 13:30 – 20:10 The Role This role is to confidently tool change and understand the parameters of the injection moulding machines, as well as understand and complete the relevant paperwork whilst maintaining high Health & amp; Safety Standards, this role will also be required to help train the trainee setters when required Key areas of responsibility, duties and the deliverables expected: Comply with all safety, quality and work rules and regulations ( Machine Safety Checks / OHC Checks ) Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times. ( Bump Cap, Safety Shoes, High Vis Etc. ) Implementing production and process tool changes inclusive of Tool Change Report (Escalate any issues) Assure that tool set up, changeovers, and 5S/housekeeping standards are improved/maintained Ensuring availability of material, tooling and ancillary equipment ( Escalate any shortfall) Carry out material moisture checks in line with material standard Level 1 TPM without exception Ensure job start-ups run correctly, and start-up check sheet is completed ( Refer to 5 Point Trouble Shooting Check Card ) Ensuring that all process changes are carried out with maximum efficiency and traceable on process logs with Technician or Technical Support sign off Patrol of moulding machines, ensuring production and quality are maintained Work with production personnel to ensure all parts meet Quality requirements Stop production to correct any quality issues ( STOP CALL WAIT ) Ensure moulding machines and supporting systems are set to correct parameters/tolerances are meeting production KPI’s Troubleshoot processing problems including normal adjustments and checks with Technician or Technical Support sign off Maintain company objectives on quality, delivery and environmental policies Review and inspect machines daily for maintenance issues and report to the maintenance department Report any Tooling / Robot & Fixture issues and log on to machine monitoring system including adding Red Tag to tool plus sample part. Adherence to production KPI’s NCP control and reduction Cover Operator breaks ( Depending on capacity ) Participate in Shift Handover Other duties may be assigned as necessary Responsible for: Responsible for the efficient running of machines against business KPI’s inclusive of Thingtrax OEE and shift job dashboard metrics Personal Attributes for the role Pays great attention to detail, manages their time efficiently and is well-organized.
