An opportunity has arisen with the Trusts Information Department, and we are looking to recruit a talented, motivated individual to the role of a Trainee Information Analyst. The Information Team plays an essential role in the provision of high-quality information for performance and operational management, business intelligence, strategic planning, and patient care.
2024 will be an exciting year for the Informatics team within NLAG. The team has recently finished its migration to azure hosted Power BI, and with further investment, a new data warehouse replacement project is underway. Along with this, the team is furthering its partnership with other analytical teams across with Hull University Teaching Hospital. To further increase the team's capacity and capability, we are looking for a self-motivated, eager individual to learn to be an Information Analyst within a busy team with a broad remit.
The Information Services team is based at Beacon House in Scunthorpe; however, the team runs a hybrid of in-office and working from home.
The Team
The Information Services team is responsible for processing and analysing data from Trust systems to produce reports, supply external bodies with data, and importantly give intelligence to the rest of the Trust on how they are operating.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, eager individual to learn to be an Information Analyst within a busy team with a broad remit. The post will be offered guidance, support, and training from a variety of internal and external providers on analytics, performance, and business intelligence in the NHS. The post holder will be assisting, and then completing, data returns, requests and supporting the rest of the team. Our trainees have a history of moving onto more senior analytical posts both within the trust and externally, which is a history we are proud of.
NLAG is part of one of the largest acute and community Group arrangements in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients every year and managing a budget of over £1.3 billion.
Made up of two Trusts - Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) - our Group has significant ambitions and is committed to delivering world-class hospital and community services for the 1.65 million people we serve.
Together we employ nearly 20,000 staff. Our five main hospital sites are Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole and District Hospital for NLAG, and Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital for HUTH.
As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we both lead and contribute to research in many areas - biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery, and oncology.
We believe that by developing a diverse, inclusive, innovative, skilled, and caring workforce, we can deliver excellent care to our patients and a great future for our employees, our Group, and our community.
Should we receive a high volume of applications, the advert may be closed earlier than stated.
