Your responsibilities will include: Personalised Support: Working one-on-one with the student to help them engage with lessons and achieve their learning goals. Collaborating with Teachers: Teaming up with the class teacher to implement strategies that meet the student’s individual needs. Promoting Independence: Encouraging the student to develop their self-reliance and complete tasks independently. Tracking Progress: Monitoring the student’s development and providing feedback to ensure they’re progressing well. Behaviour Support: Assisting with behaviour management, using positive strategies to support the student’s success. Building Trusting Relationships: Creating a supportive, trusting bond with the student, offering emotional support to help them feel confident and thrive. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is passionate about education and supporting children. Here’s what you’ll need: Relevant Experience: Experience working with children is essential. Experience in an educational setting is preferred, but not a must. Understanding of SEN: An understanding of Special Educational Needs and how to create strategies for success. Strong Communication Skills: You’ll need excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the student, teachers, and parents. Patience and Empathy: A kind and patient approach, especially when supporting students who need a little extra help. Classroom Management: The ability to assist with positive behaviour strategies and foster a productive learning space. Passion for Education: A genuine passion for helping students succeed, with a flexible approach to supporting their needs. Qualifications: A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification is preferred, though experience is just as important.
