We are seeking a qualified and experienced SEND Teacher to join our specialised team in a dedicated provision in Uxbridge. This rewarding role involves working with students from KS1 to KS4 who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and present with very challenging behaviour. As such, the ideal candidate will be resilient, compassionate, and confident in providing both educational and personal care support to help each student thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs of students with PMLD.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to support students effectively in challenging situations.
* Provide personal care and follow individual care plans as required, ensuring dignity and respect for each student.
* Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to create a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Minimum of two years’ UK-based experience working with SEN, ideally within a SEND provision.
* Experience in personal care, with the ability to manage complex needs sensitively and confidently.
* Valid Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service.
* Strong communication skills and a patient, adaptive approach to addressing individual learning and care needs.
Role Details:
* Location: Uxbridge
* Working hours: 9:45 am – 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday (Term-time only)
* Daily pay rate: £150 per day
* Temporary position
