The Royal United Hospital in the beautiful city of Bath is looking for a Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology. We are a friendly, busy team who is looking to welcome a new colleague to be part of the team.
This is a part-time Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology post. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join a dynamic team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is an experienced Ophthalmologist who is able to work independently, is ready to learn how our department works, but will be supported by an experienced team of colleagues. The department is purpose-built and well equipped.
You should be able to manage patients commensurate with your experience and special interest. A special interest in glaucoma is preferred, although other special interests to complement the department would be considered.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Full Registration with a licence to practice with the GMC
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* DRCOphth, MRCOphth, FRCOphth or equivalent
Experience
* A minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience and 2 years ophthalmic experience in specialist training or similar (equivalent if worked part-time)
* Experience working in busy ophthalmic outpatients
* Ability to run glaucoma clinics independently with remote supervision
* Experience in Clinical research
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
