Job Description
Excellent opportunity for a n Enthusiastic Apprentice ICT Support Technician to join a school ICT Support team based in Horsham. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Network Manager, and will be required to work as part of a small team providing 1st line support to staff & students, and assist with the day to day operation of the Support Team – this includes supporting and maintaining over 500 network PC stations & classrooms with interactive TVs. You will also be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS.
Position Overview
1. Install and configure computer hardware, printers, software, systems, networks and ensure the latest software upgrades are implemented
2. Setup equipment such as PC, laptops, mobile devices, and other specialist equipment, ensuring systems are ready for use.
3. Deliver hardware and resources to work areas and offices as required
4. Carry out assessments to determine the need for changes in hardware/software configurations
5. Repair or replace components of a computer/network system as necessary
6. Detect, diagnose, and resolve PC, printer, mobile, and peripheral device faults
7. Perform scheduled maintenance on computer hardware, software, and networks to ensure efficient operations
8. Provide technical support across the school (in person or over email, phone)
9. Respond in a timely manner to hardware & software service issues and requests
10. Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify computer users issues
11. Educate & train users on procedures for resolving or preventing recurrence of a problem
12. Assist in testing and evaluating new technology
Position Requirements
13. 5 GCSEs Grades A-C / 9-5 or equivalent (Including English & Maths)
14. Attention to detail focus on daily tasks
15. Good learner willing to get involved and contribute
16. Passion for Technology
17. Analytic Problem Solver / Good Time Keeping
Position Remuneration
18. Monday to Thursday 8am – 4pm & Friday 8am – 3:30pm
19. Salary: Grade 3 – £20,812
20. Training provided from an experienced IT Training team

Successful completion of the apprenticeship gives you accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how too:

23. Use Infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure components
24. Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
