Electrical Controls Engineer – Near Gatwick, UK
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer based near Gatwick, for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company that specialises in process systems. The role will involve working at their facility near Gatwick, with regular travel to surrounding counties for on-site testing, wiring, and installation of systems.
The Role:
As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical controls, cabling, and low-voltage (LV) systems. Your expertise in working with instruments, sensors, solenoid valves (SVs), and other control equipment will be critical to the success of various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, wire, and test electrical control systems for process equipment.
2. Work with cabling, LV installations, sensors, instruments, solenoid valves (SVs), and other related components.
3. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to ensure optimal system functionality.
4. Conduct site visits across surrounding counties for testing, wiring, and installation of systems.
5. Collaborate with the team to ensure all work meets technical and safety standards.
6. Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Proven experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer or in a similar role.
2. Strong technical knowledge of electrical control systems, LV installations, cabling, sensors, instruments, and solenoid valves.
3. Ability to work independently and manage on-site installations and testing.
4. A relevant engineering qualification.
5. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly.
